Dog Accessories
Posted by Rebekah on May 13th, 2008

The dog is no longer man’s best friend but has become a delightful fashion accessory. Over the past few years I’ve seen quite a few fluffy pink lap dogs. I find the dogs quite amusing, cute and slightly odd - all at the same time. I must admit I’m kind of drawn to the dog, I’m just not sure that if I had a dog that I’d dye her fur.

This puppy was born last week, and so far, he is perfectly healthy… he’s just green. Veterinarians say this can happen when the mother’s amniotic fluid mixes with the placenta during birth and dyes the coat of the puppy. In a few weeks, the green will fade and the puppy become it’s natural colour.

I love Japanese fashion and their love for their pets! The Japanese beauty company Merry Do Beauty Products, offer a rainbow of colours for your pet! They even have 10 different colours of nail polish for you pet made from natural plant ingredients, combined with natural Vitamin E!

This is a special mud bath for the dog, how cute is he! I love spas but I wonder if the dog likes it, if it’s fun for him, maybe he likes all the attention and praise? I would.

Tokyo’s Cat Cafe Calico
Posted by Rebekah on April 14th, 2008

I’ve always liked pets and animals. I think it’s an important trait that as a human being, we like to look after other species. So when I heard about the Cat Cafe Calico, I thought what could be better! In Toyko there are now 3 cafes were you can rent a cat for about £3 for an hour or £9 for 3 hours. Takafumi Fukui is the founder of the first and very popular Tokyo’s Cat Cafe Calico. There are 14 very clean cats to pet - they are shampooed and brushed regularly and you must have a thorough hand wash before entering the lounge. It’s very difficult to have a pet in Japan so the cafe offers a very unique and relaxing service! How cool is that!
I like seeing animals out and about, especially when I see a dog sitting comfortably on the floor at a pub or outside a cafe. While dining out in Paris, I was trying to enjoy my dinner but at the table across from me, a women had her small dog on the table, eating from her plate -that didn’t really work for me, but the Cat Cafe Calico sounds purrfect!

Location, Location, Location!
Posted by Rebekah on February 9th, 2008

I love location shoots and Lordship Park was one of the best houses that I’ve seen in a long time. The owners were so sweet and made you feel very welcome, plus they offered you tea as soon as you came in the door! I just loved the house - I’m a girl who lives surrounded by clutter; I have suitcases and rails, buttons - just so much stuff that I long for minimalism - I think this is why I love staying in hotels, just so I can get away from my own debris… Anyway this house was spacious and open, it wasn’t cluttered but it wasn’t too minimalist either - I think there were 4 floors and there were so many details that we had lots options for different set ups. An added bonus was the two whippets, Enzo and Capri! They were so gentle and friendly that of course I wanted to pack them in my case and keep them. I’ve always felt that if owners look like their pets I’d really like to have a sleek whippet!

Gucci Dog Hat
Posted by Rebekah on December 24th, 2007
I’d like to be the kind of girl who could dress my dog in this Gucci hat. I know that the hat is kind of silly and it’s the type of thing you’d expect Paris Hilton’s dog to wear but there’s just something so wonderfully pretentious about it.
